Description:

Accurate CPR quality data is essential for improving resuscitation performance and patient outcomes but capturing that data in a fast-paced emergency department can be challenging. This webinar highlights a QI initiative that improved CPR data collection for non-traumatic cardiac arrests from 48.7% to 89.1%. Learn how structured quality improvement methods, targeted interventions, and data-driven feedback can enhance CPR performance and support better patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe how QI methodology can be applied to improve CPR data collection in the emergency department.

  2. Describe how the program defined the CPR Coach role and clarified responsibilities in a structure healthcare providers have embraced.

  3. Identify barriers and practical strategies for collecting high-quality CPR data during resuscitations.

  4. Discuss how improved data capture supports ongoing performance improvement and patient outcomes.
